When we heard about Winstons Wish it felt like the right charity to fundraise for in David's memory. David always had so much time for the children in his life and a number of children are affected by his death so it seems right to help children in similar situations. More than 100 children are bereaved of a parent every day. 41,000 children are bereaved every single year in the UK. Grief can destroy a child's future, but with help from Winstons Wish, children can face the future with confidence and hope. As the first charity to establish child bereavement support services in the UK, they continue to lead the way in providing specialist child bereavement support services across the UK, including in-depth therapeutic help in individual, group and residential settings.
